+*Fun Beginnings...*+
First off, I look forward to sharing pictures and stories from my adventures with friends & family!
We spent all weekend celebrating my sister's birthday!
Kristen's actual birthday is today - she'll be pleased to know my first knick-knack is being published on her birthday!
Kristen and Jonathan have been waiting with bated breath for a knick-knack!
On Friday, Downtown Decatur didn't know what hit it!
About 8 of us took off for a night full of laughter and celebratory drinks!
Our first stop was Leon's Full Service for dinner
From there, we went to Twain's Billiards and Tap! We had drinks, met up with a cousin & played darts (which I learned I suck at)!
What better to cap off the night with some Del Taco!
Saturday was a whirlwind of adventures! We grabbed some lunch at Antico Pizza Napoletana! It is by far the best pizza in Atlanta and has an amazing atmosphere!
We made a pit-stop after lunch at Sublime Doughnuts - named the best bakery in the nation - and all shared two FANTASTIC doughnuts (Reese's Peanut Butter cup & Powdered Sugar Strawberry Creme!! It is a very good thing that this bakery is not anywhere near where I go on a daily basis!
From here, we took a drive down to Jailhouse Brewing Company in Hampton, GA.
Kristen, Jonathan & Joe FINALLY succeeded in getting me to like a local craft beer - even if it is a wheat beer! The brewery tour was an awesome experience. This brewery is a two-man show but you get a brewery tour by the owner and brewer! He went very in depth in the information and was very open on information about getting started and their history!
Once back to the farm, we grilled out, played laddergolf & had a great time!
Christie & Carol came over and celebrated with us! We had cupcakes from Piece of Cake that were out of this world!
On Sunday, we had another wonderful day full of food...what's new on the weekend? Ha!
We went to Fox Brothers BBQ on Dekalb Ave in Decatur which has the best BBQ in Atlanta *in my opinion*!
Last night, we had Kristen's family celebration with just the five of us!
We went to Canoe in the Vinings & the food was fabulous!!! I had pan-searred pork over risotto with corn and duck sausage! YUM!
To sum all of this up...HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KRISTEN! You are the best sister in the world & I'm so glad you've had a great birthday week so far :)
Check back soon for more knick-knacks!!
Hot dog! I get to comment first! What a super weekend, seriously. All except for the corn hole humiliation... and the ladder golf humilation... I'm lousey at red-neck games, clearly. Must be why I'm moving to the city ;-)
ReplyDeleteKristen is lucky to have a sister like you ;-) You were such a good sport. Good luck with your blog. I will be reading and commenting from 'Bama, with relish!
