Greetings,
Orlando!
I was
super excited to be going down to Orlando to visit Kathy & Jason and to
attend Kathy’s Bridal Shower! I finally flew down there on Friday evening…not
that I wasn’t getting peer pressure to fly down earlier or anything! The flight
down was nice…nobody was in the seat next to me & the view of downtown
Atlanta was awesome! A mere hour and a half later, I was in Kathy’s new ride
& headed toward Brick House Tavern & Tap for a drink and some
appetizers! After some catching up, a nice brew & some killer pretzels with
a trio of dips, we headed back to Kathy & Jason’s place to get some
shut-eye before our busy Saturday!
Kathy & I took off and went to breakfast at B2 Cafe, got Kathy a pedicure & went to Kohl’s at the request of Kathy’s mom and sister so they could decorate and get the house ready for the shower!
We went
back to get changed for the shower. Ms. Adams & Wendy did a great job
decorating for the shower! Once we got back, it was only about 15 minutes
before guests started to show up! Everything was kitchen-themed for the shower,
which was a cute idea as Kathy enjoyed her glass & apron! Wendy made some
killer white sangria that was a hit with everyone and was gone within about
half an hour.
The
shower went on for about 2 ½ hours at which point the guys came back to the
house and visited after spending the afternoon at Buffalo’s!
Took us
a while but we managed to migrate toward Pat O’Brien’s & City Walk in
Orlando! Pat O’Brien’s was a ton of fun! Most of their friends were able to
make it out to that & enjoy our night!!
Afterwards, we decided we wanted to play putt-putt at a new course that is right on the edge of City Walk! It was fun despite playing the wrong course and losing multiple balls.
Sunday,
Kathy, Jason & I just chilled around their house and then went to lunch at
Tijuana Flats (YUMMMM) and then headed toward the airport to drop me off for my
flight back to Atlanta!
All in
all, it was a fun weekend & it was nice to see some of Kathy’s friends that
I’ve met before and nice to meet the ones I hadn’t ever met! J I was glad I was able to attend her
shower & am excited about their wedding in Destin in less than two months
(and I know Kathy’s ready for it be here and gone, too! Lol) Be on the lookout for my next post about my Washington DC trip :)
Love & Knick-Knacks!
